WWGA Social Events

The WWGA has 5 established social events throughout the season.
Opening Day
We kick off the season with an Opening Day Tournament on April 23th with a Scramble Tournament on Mountain View to help us get reacquainted with our clubs. Some years we have a breakfast, but this year we doing lunch.
Member-Guest
On June 18th and 19th we have a Member-Guest tournament, provided there are no Covid restrictions. This tournament consists of an optional practice round, followed by a cocktail party. The tournament takes place the second day on Mountain View followed by lunch at the Pavilion.
Mid-Season Lunch
WWGA has a mid-season lunch on Tuesday, July 19th. We start the day with a 12 hole Scramble on Stony Lick for all WWGA players.
Club Championship
As an incentive to play in the Mountain View Club Championships in August, lunch is provided to the players on the first day of the tournament, August, 7th, when the Senior Club Championship awards are given.
Season Closer
The season ends with our Member-Member Tournament on September 24h, followed by a lunch open to all members. At this lunch we recognize the Match Play Winners, Club Champions, Most Improved Golfer and Ringer Board Tournament winners.
Other
There are also occasional ad hoc clinics or contests to “help” members improve skills or maybe it’s a good excuse to get together.
We rely on volunteers for the success of these events.
So pull out the inner “Party Planner” in you and volunteer.
Contact me, Sue Walker, WWGA Social Chair to get on the event planning list.
