Monday Scrambles

Every Monday around 3:00 pm, any member of the WWGA or WMGA may sign-up to play in a 12 hole Scramble on Stony Lick. Afterwards many of the players meet in the pub for dinner. All level of players are welcome and it is a fun way to meet new people. Normally a sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board outside the Pro Shop and you must sign-up by noon on Sunday.  We cannot have the sign-up sheet under Covid social distancing requirements, so if you would like to play contact Larry Winegarden at larrycrv14@gmail.com no later than 5:00 pm on Sunday.

Walk the  "Old Course"

This is an informal group of men and women who meet on Fridays around 4:00 at the practice putting green and walk old the “original” back 9 holes (#1,2,3,4,5,10,11,17,18) on Mountain View.  Just show up if you wish to play.

Invitationals

Often other clubs contact the Pro Shop or one of our members to invite our members to Invitational at their club. Usually an announcement will go out to our members informing them of the opportunity.

Charity Tournaments

Local groups such as the Lions Club or the Rotary Club have tournaments which are open to The Woods golfers. To find these Tournaments, go to the tab marked “Calendar” on the menu bar.

Men's Groups

Need to get your “SO” involved in a golf group? Here are two opportunities.

  • Woods Men’s Golf Association (WMGA) – www.thewmga.org. This group is the counterpart to the WWGA and organizes weekend tournaments and has informal plays on Saturday and Sunday mornings (Woodsmen).

  • Thursday Men’s Golf League – www.thursdaygolf.org
